A Dose of Happy

Alternative title: #LHB_Juice_January Day 22 … Strawberry, Banana and Coconut Water.

Ok folks, it’s day 22 of #LHB_Juice_January and we’re kicking the day off with a “Dose of Happy” Juice … Because it’s only a 9 hour shift away from the weekend! Granted my weekend consists of getting my eyebrows threaded and at the moment I look very much like Chewbacca. Yes the brows are that bad!

I don’t trust myself to pluck or wax them myself … Having managed to have lop-sided or half mauled brows at my own hands, I trust a very lovely professional with their preening now.

Why Coconut Water for this juice you ask? Well…

Coconut water is low in calories and contains a decent amount of Magnesium, Manganese and Potassium.

Plus it tastes gorgeous …

Ingredients (Makes 1):

1 Banana (peeled)

1/2 cup of Frozen Strawberries

Dose of Happy Ingredients

Just slice it all up then bob in the juicer (for this one I’m using a Nutribullet so I also added 200ml Coconut Water)!

Enjoy!

  1. Sounds delicious and really easy to make 🙂 I like the idea of juice/smoothies for breakfast as I can’t stand the thought of eating first thing and I know breakfast is important! #weekendblogshare

I can totally relate to the breakfast thing, some mornings the idea of food just knocks me sick! But at the same time I’m realising the importance of having something resembling breakfast a bit later on (a couple of hours after I’ve woken up generally) and this just seemed perfect for that! 🙂 x

  2. yum! this sounds like such a delicious combination! thanks for sharing 🙂

I really enjoyed this one … I think it’s probably one of my favourites! Strawberry and banana just go so well together 🙂 x

  3. I like the sound of this one. I often combine strawberry and banana, but haven’t tried the coconut water before. #weekendblogshare

I wanted something a little bit lighter in the mix after using Oatly and Almond Milks … Coconut Water definitely ticked the box! I’m really loving it! 🙂 x

  4. Coconut water is great. My man started buying this after Bear Grylls said it was good for dehydration and can help combat migrains.
I had a smoothie on Friday morning which consisted of 1 banana, 1/2 Pineapple 3 kiwi 10tablesponns of Pineapple Juice and 8 coconut milk. Fair to say whilst I really enjoyed it (about700ml) I was blumming full for the rest of the day lol

It can help combat Migraines? I think I need to look into this … And then stock my fridge full of the stuff! I’m a major fan of Bear Grylls I have to admit, will happily watch his adventures for hours on end!

And that smoothie sounds delicious! I might have to give it a go! 🙂 x
