Alternative title: #LHB_Juice_January Day 30 …  Avocado, Broccoli, Cucumber, Pear, Apple, Super Greens and Coconut Water.

Ok folks, it’s day 30 of #LHB_Juice_January and we’re kicking the day off with “Bringing Broccoli Back” … It’s highly possible that I’m going to sneak back under my duvet once I hit publish! Not that I feel ill or anything, I just want a chilled out Saturday with the likelihood of a crafty afternoon nap!

Though with Millie the Mischief (my kitty-step-daughter) about the chances are slim to none on the nap front. I’ll end up with a paw in my face if I try, I just know it. Or a toy mouse hidden under one of my pillows.

So, why Barley Grass? I hear you ask! Well…

Barley Grass is a great source of various Vitamins (A, B1 – Thiamine, B2 – Riboflavin, B5 – Pantothenic Acid, B9 – Folate and C) and Minerals (we’re talking Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Phosphorus, Manganese and Zinc) … Perfect for a pick me up!

Ingredients (Makes 1):

1/3 Cucumber

1 handful of Broccoli

1/2 Avocado (de-seeded and flesh scooped)

1 Apple (peeled and cored)

1 Pear (cored)

1 tsp of Super Greens (a Wheatgrass, Barley Grass, Chlorella and Spirulina mix from Body Me)

Just slice it all up then bob in the juicer (for this one I’m using a Nutribullet so I also added 200ml Coconut Water)!
