Alternative title: #LHB_Juice_January Day 28 … Apple, Watermelon, Cucumber, Super Greens and Coconut Water.
Ok folks, it’s day 28 of #LHB_Juice_January and we’re kicking the day off with “Dreaming in Green” … I’m so ready for Aerial Silks tonight! I’m very lucky to have a very supportive group of ladies who not only cheer when I manage one of the moves, but laugh when I fall on my butt (I don’t take this as an insult, as I’ve said before I’m not the most graceful of creatures – usually I’m laughing myself to within moments of peeing myself when this happens).
So, what is Spirulina? I hear you cry! Well…
Spirulina is an algae and … Wait! Hear me out! I know it sounds gross but trust me on this … It is an algae and it is a powerhouse of nutrients! It is a great source of Protein, Vitamins (we’re talking B1 – Thiamine, B2 – Riboflavin, B3 – Niacin, B5 – Pantothenic Acid, B6, B9 – Folate, C, E and K) and Minerals (particularly Iron, Manganese, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium and Zinc) plus, a little of this goes a long way!
Ingredients (Makes 1):
1 Apple (peeled and cored)
1 tsp of Super Greens (a Wheatgrass, Barley Grass, Chlorella and Spirulina mix from Body Me)
Just slice it all up then bob in the juicer (for this one I’m using a Nutribullet so I also added 200ml Coconut Water)!
