Alternative title: #LHB_Juice_January Day 29 …  Kiwi fruit, Romaine Lettuce, Cucumber, Super Greens and Coconut Water.

Ok folks, it’s day 29 of #LHB_Juice_January and we’re kicking the day off with “Envy” … Another Friday is upon us! Unfortunately for me, as I work in Finance, this Friday means possibly working late tonight (last Friday of the month and all that). It’s not unusual for me to do a 12 hour shift on these days. So my body needs a right good dose of goodness, which is exactly what this concoction is all about.

It’s only called “Envy” because that is how I’ll feel watching my non-Finance colleagues leaving at normal time.

So, what is Wheatgrass? I hear you cry! Well…

Wheatgrass is an amazingly rich source of various Vitamins (particularly A, B1 – Thiamine, B2 – Riboflavin, B3 – Niacin, B5 – Pantothenic AcidC, E and K) and Minerals (we’re looking at Potassium, Iron, Copper, Zinc, Manganese and Selenium) … Ideal for days in which you know you need a boost just to get through a long shift!

Ingredients (Makes 1): 

1/3 Cucumber

1 handful of Romaine Lettuce

1 Kiwi fruit (peeled)

1 tsp of Super Greens (a Wheatgrass, Barley Grass, Chlorella and Spirulina mix from Body Me)




Just slice it all up then bob in the juicer (for this one I’m using a Nutribullet so I also added 200ml Coconut Water)!

  1. I’ve considered trying wheatgrass but never have. I’m not juicing like you this month but I’m making lots of soup, I definitely feel healthier 🙂

      Ooooo I love soups! What’s your favourite? I make them and freeze batches to take to work during the week … I need to start making those again. Like you though, physically I do feel better for trying this out 🙂 x
