Alternative title: Sometimes you just need a boost…
I’ve had a horrific week at work…I’d like to blame the post-holiday blues (I wish it was the post-holiday blues) or the muggy weather (the UK has been experiencing a heatwave…What the heck?!) but unfortunately neither of those are to blame and while I’m not going to go into details I’m sure you’ve all had weeks where everything you touch just goes to hell.
As such my stress levels have been through the roof, my skin has broken out, my head has been taking advantage of this and throwing tantrums…
I just feel physically and mentally drained.
So I figure a good way of starting to deal with the stress (aside from meditation and whinging about it all to M) is to focus on my diet…
Thumb sized piece of ginger (sliced)
A handful of Spinach.
200ml Coconut Water (I’m using Innocent Coconut Water).
Chuck all these ingredients into a jug…
Right…Let’s have a quick natter about Kiwifruit (Kiwi), this fabulously zesty fruit is a great source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin E, Carotenoids, dietary fibre, Potassium, Folate and Omega-3 fatty acids (in the form of alpha-linolenic acid). How awesome is that?!
PS – I’m still absolutely gutted that NBC has decided not to commission another season of “Hannibal“, but (like many of my fellow Fannibals) I have hope that it will continue. It is an incredibly clever, captivating series and perfect escapism. It’s hard not to love it…In the meantime, I’m also quite excited to hear about Bryan Fuller‘s new project “American Gods” (based on Neil Gaiman‘s book).
