Alternative title: #LHB_Juice_January Day 9 … Mango, Oats and Almond Milk Juice.
Ok folks, it’s day 9 of #LHB_Juice_January and we’re kicking the day off with a “Mmmm Mango” Juice … How thrilled am I that it is Saturday?! So much love for the weekend! What do you lovelies have planned? Shopping trips (I keep telling myself I need more professional looking clothes for work – apparently a tiger onesie is so not cutting it)? Meals with family / friends (because weekends are for coffees and cakes right)? A quiet muddy walk with the pups (because pups like to roll in just about everything don’t they)? I’d love to know!
Anyway, back to the juice, so why Mango you ask? Well…
Mango is a great source of various Vitamins (particularly Vitamin B6, B9 – Folate, E and my word, the levels of Vitamin C – 44% in 100g!) and Minerals (such as Potassium, Magnesium and Manganese). The actual peel contains Carotenoids (such as beta-carotene, lutein and alpha-carotene) and a range of Polyphenols (Antioxidants folks, antioxidants!). A great one for the immune system (being Hypothyroid I’m always looking for an immune system booster).
Also who doesn’t love the taste of Mango? (I have a major Mango obsession!)
Ingredients (Makes 1):
2 tbsp Oats
Just slice it all up and bob in the juicer (for this one I’m using a Nutribullet so I also added 200ml unsweetened Almond Milk)!
